Still a fierce competitor at the age of 43, Nolan Ryan was struck in the mouth by a Bo Jackson batted ball in the second inning of the September 8, 1990 Rangers-Royals contest at Arlington Stadium. Ryan required six stitches on his lower lip – but not before he pitched seven innings of three-hit ball, striking out eight en route to a 2-1 Rangers triumph. This photograph portrays a bloodied Ryan that night and is signed by both Ryan and “assailant” Bo Jackson. Framed to 18-7/8 x 22-1/8”, the 11x14” limited edition (23/50) color photo is signed by both in blue marker (both “10” strength). Accompanying is a cert card/hologram from Mounted Memories, as well as a Nolan Ryan hologram.
