Appropriately dubbed “El Pibe de Oro,” Argentina-born pitch legend Diego Maradona had an impressive resume with the Boca Juniors and Argentinian National Team before landing for a then-record sum in Barcelona, where he led the club to Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup triumphs. This jersey was worn by the famed attacking midfielder during the 1983-84 season. The satin-like long sleeve pullover garment features a blue-and-red vertical stripe pattern and the Barcelona team crest patch sewn to the left breast. On the back, “10” is displayed in white applique. Within the 3-1/2”-wide V-neck collar, a “Meyba” label reads “Homologat – F.C. Barcelona.” The sleeve endings are tailored from blue stretch ribbed knit and the jersey shows moderate overall wear. The jersey hails from the personal collection of the former Brazilian National Team Technical Coordinator and comes with a signed LOA stating such.
