Description

If you've never held a hammer before, it's shocking how dense and heavy the ball is. Think kettle bell. Frankly, it's hard to imagine just being able to swing it, let alone releasing it for any distance. This example is engraved, "7.26 K / 115 MM / NELCO / 1996 OLYMPIC GAMES," and it comes with a COA from the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games stating that it was used by Lance Deal in the Hammer Final. Additionally, the display base plaque reads, "HAMMER / 1996 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES / ATLANTA, GEORGIA / LANCE DEAL THREW THIS HAMMER DURING THE WARM-UP PRECEDING HIS THROW OF 266 FEET 2 INCHES TO WIN THE SILVER MEDAL FOR THE UNITED STATES." Includes extensive photocopied documentation of the hammer event results.
